Cartesys LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates Galileo. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iPhone app, our website and web app (aigalileo.ai and app.aigalileo.ai), and related services (together, the "Service").

Please read this policy carefully. By using Galileo, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Account information: email address, name, and sign-in credentials
• Forwarded emails: the content and attachments of emails you forward to the Service
• Uploaded documents: photos and documents you scan or upload
• Household information: names and email addresses of family members you invite
• Waitlist: the email address you give us when you join the waitlist

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device information: device type, operating system, browser, and app version
• Usage data: features used, questions asked, and interaction patterns
• Log data: IP address, access times, app crashes and errors

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process and store your forwarded emails and documents
• Find dates, to-dos, payments and forms in your content, and answer your questions about it
• Send you service-related emails and notifications
• Respond to your questions and support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data storage and processing

Your content is processed and stored using the following services:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): receiving forwarded email, hosting, and data storage
• Anthropic (Claude): reading forwarded emails, attachments and photos, and answering your questions
• OpenAI: building the search index of your content, and writing the daily briefing (GPT-4o)
• Pinecone: storing that search index
• Google Firebase: push notifications and crash reports
• Resend: sending account emails, such as verification and password reset
• Stripe: subscription payments
• Telegram: delivering the daily briefing, which lists your items and the children named in them, to a Telegram chat, for families who receive it there

Your data is stored in cloud infrastructure located in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: with the vendors listed in section 4, who help us provide the Service
• Household members: with the members of your household that you invite
• Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect our rights
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may ask us to delete your data at any time (see section 8).

After an account is deleted, we may keep certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

7. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit
• Access controls and authentication
• Regular security reviews
• Secure cloud infrastructure

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: delete your account in the app (Family tab, Delete account), or ask us to delete your data
• Export: request your data in a portable format
• Opt out: opt out of certain data processing activities

9. Children

Galileo is used by parents, not by children. The school and activity messages that parents forward can name their children, so Galileo may store a child's name and the details in those messages, and use them in the daily briefing and in answers. Parents control this information: they choose what to forward, and they can delete it in the app, including by deleting their account. 10. International users

Galileo is offered only in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
